Awesome Girl's Weekend in Dubai (day 3)

Going toward the lovely Jumeira Beach

There were waves, and there no waves in Bahrain

And the water was pretty and blue

Getting ready to catch some sun

Us being homeless (to be explained)

Ski Dubai (an indoor ski resort, inside the mall)

Day 3 of Dubai. It was another beautiful day in Dubai, and the sun was nice and warm, so it was a perfect day to go to the beach, which was right across the street from us. The nice thing about the beach here is that everyone can wear bikini's, and you don't have to worry about being under-dressed or stared at by creepy men (as you often would in Bahrain). The sand was white, the water was blue and wavy. I stuck my feet in but that was as far as I was going, because that water was freezing. We all stuck to just laying on our towels. We took a break for a while and grabbed some food and checked out the local souk, then headed back to the beach. Lauren and Catherine had already left (they had an early flight), and Tish decided to head up to the room for a nap, while Rach and I stayed on the beach. After about 5 minutes, Tish came running to us to tell us the cleaning people were outside out door and ready to clean because new guests were coming in 15 minutes. So we had to speed pack and get our butts out of there.
So now, we were stuck, because it was only about 2 or 3pm, and our flight wasn't until 10pm. We had no where to go, because we had our luggage. So, we figured that maybe if we go to the mall, we could leave our bags somewhere, hopefully, for a while. So we took the taxi to the awesome Mall of Emirates, put our bags in shopping carts, and left the Heineken with the taxi driver. So this is where we did some pretty homeless things. First, we were hauling our things around this really nice mall in 2 big shopping carts. It looked pretty ghetto. Then, we found a bathroom, where we went into the baby changing room and used the baby wipes to clean ourselves off, since we couldn't shower after the beach due to being kicked out of the apartment. We wiped, changed clothes, deodorized, sprayed, combed hair, applied some makeup, in attempts to look a bit more presentable. Then, we made our way towards the service desk, who for free, keeps your things locked up in a storage area until you are ready to pick it up. So, we were finally able to stop looking so darn homeless, and do some shopping.
We shopped, and ate, and finally around 745pm, were ready to get in the taxi and go to the airport.
We were so exhausted when all was said and done and were back in Bahrain. But the exhaustion was well worth it. It was a fantastic girls weekend, and I wouldn't change a thing about it, and it was just what we all needed.
